Electronic Poker is a popular game that is able to be bet on in casinos across the globe, or alternatively at home on your computer, through a web account. The regulations are very simple and consist of the player attempting to get the highest mixture of cards as you can in order to win cash. In this respect it’s very similar as a classic game of poker, apart from the involvement with any other players. Of course, methods employed during a real-life game of poker, such as tricking, will be useless in Video Poker.

The game of Video Poker starts when the gambler inserts credits (either tokens, tickets or money) into the machine and presses the deal button. A 5 card hand will be electronically ‘given out’ on the screen.

The Electronic Poker machine also has buttons with ‘hold’ written on them, and gamblers will need to now choose which cards to hold and which to discard. For the cards the enthusiast would like to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons need to be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can decide to keep any amount of cards they wish, from all to none.

After the bettor has selected which cards he or she wishes to keep, they should press ‘deal’, at which point any new cards will be given out if desired. The round is now finished, with the Electronic Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it matches any of the winning hands printed on the pay out schedule.

Typically, the lowest winning hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money increasing for each better hand. A common list of winning hands begins with jacks or better, and moves on to 2 pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and finally royal flushes. It goes without saying that the payment schedule can change from game to game, so that experienced players are able to choose the most money-making ones each instance.

After the first round has finished, the player can either decide to continue on in an attempt to increase their earnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any cash that they may have won. Additionally, some styles of the game give the enthusiast an opportunity to double their winnings, in which instance another hand is played. There are also variations among individual games, with some decks of cards including wild cards and other varying characteristics to enhance playability.
